Clearing Browser Cache (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, & Safari)
If you find yourself having difficulties with downloading the launcher, we recommend clearing your browsers cache.
Clearing your browsers cache can remedy any hanging issues that the website is experiencing when trying to process the information displayed in the cache.
Google Chrome
- Click the three vertical dots on the right (next to your profile picture) and select Settings
- On the left-hand side menu, select the Privacy and Security tab
- Under Privacy and Security, there should be a Clear Browsing Data option, select this tab
- You should see three types of clearing browser options. You can keep all selected if you choose but you only need to have the Cached image and files selected
- Once you have selected which browser options you want cleared, click the clear data button
After this, your cache has been cleared on Google Chrome.
Mozilla Firefox
- Click the three horizontal lines on the right-hand side of the browser and select Settings
- On the left-hand side menu, select the Privacy and Security tab
- Scroll down until you see the Cookies and Site Data section
- Select the Clear Data button
- A window will appear asking to select either (or both) options of clearing your cookies or cache. You can keep all selected if you choose, but you only need to have the cached web content selected
- Once you have selected the browser option you want cleared, click the clear button
After this, your cache has been cleared on Mozilla Firefox.
Microsoft Edge
- Click the three horizontal dots on the right-hand side of the browser and select Settings
- On the left-hand side menu, select the Privacy, Search, and Services tab
- Scroll down until you see the Clear Browsing Data section
- There should be a box that states Clear Browsing Data Now and a button choosing what to clear. Click this button
- A window will appear giving you multiple options on what to clear on your browser. You can select any other options you want cleared, but you only need to have Cached images and files selected
- Once you have selected which browser option you want cleared, click the Clear Now button
After this, your cache has been cleared on Microsoft Edge.
Safari (Mac)
- Click Safari in the top left corner, next to the Apple icon
- Select Preferences in the menu
- In the pop-up window, you will see Advanced in the far right corner. Click the icon
- Check the Show developer menu in menu bar box at the bottom
- Now, at the top of the screen, you will see a new option next to Bookmarks called Develop. Click Develop and then choose Empty Caches
Another Safari option
- While Safari is open, click the History tab at the top of the screen.
- At the bottom of the menu, click Clear History.
- In the pop-up window, select All History, then click the Clear History button.
- Restart Safari to implement the changes!
Clear your computer's cache (Windows & Mac)
The Blankos Block Party launcher has an auto-update option, allowing your game to always be caught up on all of our latest updates.
If you ever experience any issues with the launcher not updating or any issues with the game, we recommend clearing your device's cache.
Clearing your cache on your computer can help with multiple areas. This can free up disk space you may need and improve overall improve system performance.
The following troubleshooting are only applicable to Windows 10 and Mac.
How to Clear the Temporary Files Cache with Disk Cleanup (Windows)
You can clear your temporary files cache with the Disk Cleanup app. To start:
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard, or select the Windows logo in your taskbar, and search Disk Cleanup in the search bar
- Select the first app to populate titled Disk Cleanup
- Once you have selected the app, a window will appear. Disk Cleanup will begin to determine how much space you can free up on your operating system drive (C:)
- Scroll down and select the box next to Temporary Files. You can also delete files from other locations, such as the Recycle Bin or from your recent Downloads
- After you have selected what you'd like to clear, click the Clean Up System Files button
- Windows has now calculated how much storage space can be freed up. After selecting what files you want cleared, you'll be brought to the same window again.
- Select the files and locations a second time that you'd like to delete and then click the OK button
- A new warning window will appear, confirming you are sure you want to permanently delete the files. Select Delete Files
- The Disk Cleanup app will then clean up the unnecessary files on your machine you selected
This process could take some time, but afterwards, you'll have cleared your temporary files cache.

How to delete your system cache (Mac)
Prior to deleting your system's cache, we highly recommend backing up your device as a precaution.
To delete your system's cache:
- Open the Finder
- Select on Go > Go to Folder…
- Type in Library/Caches/
- Click on Go
- Open each folder and select what you'd like to delete. You can sort these by Data Modified to view the oldest files that you may not need anymore.
- Drag caches into the Trash/Bin
- Afterwards, be sure to delete your trash
Once you have completed this step, you have successfully deleted your system's cache on Mac.
